App Engine 1.8.7 and a platform that is great for game developers

Posted on 12:10 by Unknown
This week, we are highlighting the great apps that game developers have built on Google Cloud Platform. App Engine in particular is used for a variety of game types, ranging from casual mobile and web games to real-time games on the web. Check out this paper, which describes an implementation that uses Google Compute Engine for the backend and App Engine for the frontend of a real-time game. For the rest of our gaming content, including technical solutions articles, customer stories and videos, stay tuned to the blog or follow us on Google+ and Twitter.

Adding to these highlights, you can now download the SDK for App Engine 1.8.7. To see what’s new, please refer to the release notes.
